INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY – 100th Anniversary Sheffield City Council in partnership with other local organisations, including Sheffield Faith Forum, are organising city centre events to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 5th & 8th. STREETWATCH I am currently looking at developing a streetwatch locally. This is a community patrol by volunteers, supported by the Police. The emphasis would be very much on positive engagement with young people. SHEFFIELD’S BIG SPRING CLEAN is back for a 3rd year. Last year you helped by rolling up your sleeves and clearing thousands of sacks full of litter from our streets and green spaces. I had a great time with the year ones from Meersbrook Bank on Monday. They really enjoyed looking round the church and drew pictures of the font, candles, the brass lectern and much else. Perhaps the best bit is when I play some loud organ music through the organ speakers – they loved it!
