BARBARA WRITES:  I would like to thank everyone who made my 70th birthday and anniversary of 40 years of ministry, so memorable.  Especially those who baked the most delicious party food, and amazing birthday cake and those who worked tirelessly in our kitchen. How blessed am I to be part of St Paul's Church family!!!  And also a huge thank you to those who gave so generously, in lieu of presents, to the work our friends do in Zimbabwe.  This "giving" totalled £570.30!

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY On Sat 8th Sept at 7.15 pm Olive Walker presents The Sheaf Singers with “Songs for Zimbabwe” here at St. Paul’s. All proceeds to Good Hope Orphan Care, Senior Citizen Service and Food for Homes. Tickets from Ken or Margaret price £5.00 (refreshments inc.)

From Murray
Just to say that we had a great holiday last week!  It was a bit wet at times but the sun soon came out again and we were able to go out on a number of trips.  I was especially delighted to be able to get back to Flamborough Head again – it drizzled a bit in the morning, but in the afternoon the sun came out and we have a fantastic few hours at North Landing and even saw some puffins!

The cottage has wonderful views of open countryside and feels really ‘away from it all’.  I still need plenty of rests but Ann did some walks with Oscar while I had a quiet few hours, including some walks with Jill and her dog
