Bishop Steven reflecting on Psalm 95 daily in Jan on his blog
Last Updated on Thursday, 02 January 2014 10:33
Bishop Steven has asked the Diocese to take Psalm 95 as the text for the first part of our centenary year and to use the Psalm in private prayers and public worship over the coming weeks.  In January, Bishop Steven will be posting a short reflection on Psalm 95 each weekday on his blog.  The short reflections are designed to be used as part of daily prayers as we begin to explore this text together.  Feel free to copy and print the reflections for those who don't have internet access. They can be used at any time of the year and are not date specific.
To find them go to www.bishopofsheffield.blogspot.co.uk or follow Bishop Steven on twitter for regular posts: @Steven_Croft.  You can also follow Bishop Peter on @peterburrows101

103 THIS YEAR AND STILL LOOKING GOOD!  Some of our older members at St Paul’s will remember Len and Kathleen Kenworthy. Len was Church Treasurer in the 1950s and 1960’s, and Christian Aid Organiser for even longer. (He also used to take our son Chris, then a young boy – now 46! – to watch Sheffield Wednesday)  After Len died, Kathleen moved to Bewdley in Worcestershire, to be nearer to her daughter. She still keeps in touch each Christmas and this year sent a photograph, which also features her new great-grandchild. PLEASE SEE THE NOTICEBOARD IN THE MEETING PLACE.  Thanks - Joan & John Howlett.

GUIDES Contact Karen Stevenson if you are interested in helping Guides, please see “What’s on” for details. You’d be supported by experienced members of our uniformed organisations, & the gift of your time would be of great benefit to young people locally. Thanks

ROUNDABOUT (YOUTH HOUSING CHARITY) Please see the MP notice board for a thank you letter from Ben Keegan for the chocolates, biscuits and Christmas cards that Robert delivered on behalf of St Paul’s. Thank you very much to all who contributed; Roundabout’s young people and staff are always grateful for our support.

REMINDER!  2014 DATES  There are still groups who have not let us know when they plan to use space at St Paul’s.  It’s important for two reasons: so that we can make sure the room you’ve booked is heated, and also so that your meetings are included on the church notice sheet and website. (Dates in writing to Joan Howlett c/o the office please.)

RAINBOWS Due to a lack of numbers Rainbows has been suspended until April, or until more children join, for information please contact Liz Scott 07584575141

FEBRUARY TO APRIL - CHURCH DUTY ROTA  Please put any absences or holiday dates in writing. Messages can also be left by email at the office. Thank you

WHAT’S ON?  St Paul’s has a wide range of things to do throughout the week and activities where you can meet like-minded people. There’s often space on the notice board by the bus stop, if you’d like to advertise your church group or community activity. (Please drop off a laminated A4 poster at the office.) When we have space, we will be pleased to advertise special events on the church website and the notice boards around church too (for example if your group has a special anniversary or celebration, or an interesting speaker.) Please remember to let John Howlett know if your contact details for “What’s on at St Paul’s” change, or Joan, via the office, if your meeting dates change. Thanks

Mike’s Ministry:
Sun 12th – St Paul’s 10.00 am H.C.
Sun 19th – St Paul’s 10.00 am Family Worship service
