What are you doing for Lent?  Lent has been observed by Christians of all of tradition right down the centuries.  It is a time of preparation for our greatest festival, when we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus at Easter.  Many choose to stand with Jesus - as he went without food in the desert for forty days  - by giving up some luxury.  There are plenty to choose from, from food or drink to means of transport - I have seen a few encouragements to have a ‘carbon fast’ for Lent.  Whatever you do or give up, make regular time to meet with Jesus in prayer, for he is the reason for the season!
