From Murray:
Last week we had a great event in the Brown family.  It was my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary!  My father arranged a meal out for us and invited his sister and husband and my mother’s brother and his wife as well as us Norton Lees Browns.  It was a great evening!  My dad was on great form and though my mother found it a bit bewildering at times, she was absolutely thrilled!

On Monday I had another of my twice yearly meetings with the leaders of the Focus Church.  For some time they have being wanting to start a day group which would include learning, games, craft as well as worship.  At last they have found a venue and hope to begin later this year.  It will be a huge step forward for Focus Church and will overcome one of their biggest hurdles which is enabling their members to come on Sunday evenings when carers are least available to escort people to church.  So often David and Keith hear that members of Focus Church want to come to church but there are just not people around to take them or the taxi fare is prohibitive, so the carers discourage them from coming – which is really sad.  The Focus Church is very grateful for the support and encouragement they receive from St Paul’s.  If you would like to join in supporting the Church financially, envelopes are available – please see me or Peter Franklin.
