From Murray
The season of Lent is an important one in the church’s year.  It is a time of sharing with Jesus as he fasted in the desert.  I will pick up that theme at Family Worship on 16th March and show some pictures I took of the desert in Dubai.  People often give something up for Lent.  This year Ann and I will be giving up some time to look at a study course together – this, we hope, will deepen our faith and draw us together at the same time.  I hope you will be giving up time to attend out Lent Series ‘I’m gonna let it shine’.  You may want to do something else as well.  Some people read a Lent book, others take more time to pray and read the bible.  Mike and I have shared with you at our 10 am service two different ways we have found helpful in letting God speak to us through the bible – why not try these out and find out which works best for you.  Whatever you do, don’t miss out on this important season in the church’s year, the more you prepared through Lent the great will be your joy when Easter comes!
