Our usual Family Worship will be cancelled; instead, Barbara will lead a Morning Prayer service for those preferring to remain at St Paul’s. It would help with planning if you could let Murray know where you plan to be.

REMINDER!! CHURCH GARDEN Many thanks to John Brown who has put in an enormous amount of work over the Summer to tidy the church grounds. Please take a look at John’s plan (in church) to help us maintain the garden and do sign up to give your support if you have an hour free each month. Many of the plots are very small and you would only need to come and weed occasionally. If you can help, please put your name on the list for the plot you can care for. (The grass will continue to be cut by Robert.) For more information see John or Ken. Thanks

From Murray’s Diary
We had a great two weeks off work in August which included a few days down in Kent visiting my Aunt who is now 96! Though she now has severe mobility problems we managed to take her out to nearby Ightham Mote (an ancient moated house and garden owned by the National Trust).  It was so lovely to enable her to see somewhere different and enjoy the sunshine for a few hours – even though she fell asleep a few times in the wheel chair! We also had a number of days out in the Peak District but we did not get to Bridlington for the day as I had hoped.  I was not as well as I thought I would be and had to admit to myself that a day in Brid is still a bit beyond me for the time being.  However, I was also aware of significant signs of improvement in my health since this time last year.
This week I met up with Jana in preparation for her licensing as a Worship Leader on Saturday morning 25th September at Doncaster Minster - which was very encouraging.  Jana’s ministry will revolve around leading creative worship both in the ‘Messy Church’ mornings and in other ways.
