SATURDAY Clocks go back tonight!	26th	8.30 am 6.00 pm	NTP Services Ltd – Classroom training for commercial drivers in the OV all day. Harvest Supper in church. The food will have a very “Harvesty” theme, with vegetable soups and lovely crusty bread, cheese board and pate, comforting puddings such as fruit pie or crumble with custard.  There won’t be a charge for this event, but if you’d like to make a donation it will be very much appreciated and any profits will go into the Hospitality Fund, ready to fund our Christmas Activities. 1^ST WEDNESDAY - CARDS FOR THE BEREAVED Our annual card making session is upon us. It will be held in the Old Vestry around 7.30 pm on Wed 30^th Oct. Everyone welcome – your help will be very much appreciated. The cards are sent to those who attend the Memorial Services, but you can always come and make one for yourself.

SHOEBOX APPEAL 2013 This year’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal will run from 1^st to 18^th Nov, when once again St Paul’s will be acting as a Drop-Off Point. Our service will be held on Sun 17^th Nov at 10.00 am during Family Worship.

W.I.  Norton Lees Branch of the Women’s Institute will celebrate their 20^th Anniversary with a special event on Wed 6^th Nov in church at 7.30 pm. Woodhouse Prize Brass Band is booked to play -  please see posters in church. There will be a sheet in church for signatures please if you intend coming (for numbers for catering.) Thank you

LOST CAMERA   A Lumix Camera was lost on Sat 21^st Sept, the day of Gail’s Licensing. The owner, a member of St Chad’s church, was sitting 3 seats back from the coach driver. Could people from St Paul’s who went, please check they have picked up the right camera? Thank you.

CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL If people would like to start sorting through books at home, we will be having a bookstall at the Christmas Tree Festival to be held in church on Saturday 23^rd November. There will be a box in which to leave them, in the clergy vestry soon.  Can members also start saving suitable NEW items for a £1.00 Tombola stall please? Please see Liz if you can help on the day!

UKELELE CLUB WITH PETER BURT There is an opportunity to have an introduction to ukulele this half term. The 3 session club will be suitable for complete beginners and also anyone who has been before. Please see the information on the notice boards in church for information on how to request a place.

FOOD BANK VOLUNTEERS St Paul’s has been asked to find 3 volunteers to help with the supermarket collection on Saturday 30^th November from 12 noon to 2.00 pm at Tesco.  Please let Murray or Robert know if you are free.

INVITATION TO EVERYONE Churches Together in Heeley and Gleadless Valley invite you to “The Big Thank You for the Food Bank” at Gleadless Valley Methodist Church, Blackstock Road, Sheffield.  On Sunday 3^rd November at 5.30 pm, we start with sharing food which is provided by churches. Can we bring some cakes please – made or bought! We continue with a celebration and thanksgiving for the food bank, for those who support it, those who volunteer and those who receive from it. It was great to hear from Ian Draffan last Sunday at 10 am about the wider context of the move towards Mission Partnerships.  As Ian says, God is in this process and has much for us at St Paul’s through it.  However, it would also be a very significant change for us – one of the biggest in the history of our church!  Please pray for our Deanery Mission and Pastoral Committee planning day on Tuesday.
