RAINBOWS – URGENT Liz Scott needs help with Rainbows, a group for girls aged 5 – 7 years, on Monday evenings from 6 -7.00 pm in the Upper Hall. Please contact Liz Scott   07584 575 141 if you can spare an hour to help. Thank you

 

THANKYOU  All the Warren family would like to thank everyone who sent kind messages, cards and flowers following Liz’s Mum’s death. We were overwhelmed by the love extended to us and thank God for such a lovely church family. 

 

QUESTIONS! QUESTIONS!  Following the “Back to Church” service on 29^th September, Murray will start another series of Questions! Questions! on Wednesday 9th October at 7.30 pm in the Meeting Place. The series will help you explore and consider the heart of the Christian faith – all welcome.  For your diary: Further dates are 16^th, 23^rd & 30^th October, 13^th, 20^th, & 27^th November and 4^th December. Please see the MP notice board for discussion topics.

 

HARVEST FAMILY WORSHIP will be held at 10.00 am on Sunday 20^th October and HARVEST MESSY CHURCH is on 19^th October. If you can help can you please contact Ann.

Then on 14^th December it will be Christingle Messy Church (Both are Saturdays from 10am - 12.30pm) including lunch. Do invite children and parents & carers.

 

REMINDER - ST PAUL’S AUTUMN MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Sun 20^th Oct at 6.00 pm. Invitations have now been sent out;  please  give any further names to be read out to Murray before Wednesday 16^th  - Thanks

NEWS FROM M.U. On Saturday 19^th October there will be an Art and Craft display with coffee and chat at St John’s Church Hall, Abbeydale Road South from 10.30 am to 12.30.  Entrance £2 which includes refreshments.

A big thank you to Jacqui for her six years leading the branch and welcome to Margaret who has now taken on the mantle!

 

SHOEBOX APPEAL 2013 This year’s Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Shoebox Appeal will run from 1^st to 18^th November, when once again St Paul’s will be acting as a Drop-Off Point. Our service will be held on Sunday 17^th November at 10.00 am during Family Worship.

 

W.I.  Norton Lees (St Paul’s) Branch of the Women’s Institute will be celebrating their 20^th Anniversary with a special event on Wednesday 6^th November in church at 7.30 pm. Woodhouse Brass Band is booked to play at the event -  please see posters in church. All welcome.

CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL If people would like to start sorting through books at home, we will be having a bookstall at the Christmas Tree Festival to be held in church on Saturday 23^rd November. There will be a box in which to leave them, in the clergy vestry soon.  Can members also start saving suitable NEW items for a £1.00 Tombola stall please? Please see Liz if you can help on the day!
