Today we are giving out invitation cards for our Back to Church Sunday service which will be at 10 am on Sunday 28th September.  Please fill in the details on the back of card before you give it to the person you are wanting to invite.  You might like to use the remembrance cards (which are also available and have a poppy on them) to invite people to the Memorial service which is at 6.00 pm on Sunday 28th, but please remember to let us know in good time if additional names need to be read out at the service.



ST PAUL’S AUTUMN MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held in church on Sunday 28th September at 6.00 pm. If you know of anyone who would appreciate an invitation, please ask them to get in touch with us or see Irene Seggar in church.

REMINDER FOR YOUR DIARY St Paul’s Christmas Tree Festival & Fayre will be held this year from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm on 22nd November. Then on the following weekend (Saturday 29th), The Sheaf Singers will be here to entertain us at an evening concert. More details to follow soon.


‘FOREVER YOUNG’ - THE SHEFFIELD 50 PLUS SHOW will be held at the Royal Victoria Holiday Inn from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm on Friday 3rd October. Door proceeds donated to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity. Leaflets in church.

FOODBANK UPDATES  ETC.  Robert reports that things were back to normal with a very busy session.  There were 20 clients provided for.  The first client was an asylum seeker from Syria who was a 19 year old medical student who has been denied citizenship and so is not allowed to work.  Foodbank is now linking up with a clothing bank at Victoria Hall in town so that those who need clothes can now be helped.

They are short of spaghetti, sugar, noodles, juice and toiletries.

Pre-loved uniform is holding another “Kit out your kids” event at the Michael Church, Lowedges Road on Sunday 5th October from 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm. As before, free to those on benefits (please bring proof) - voluntary donations from parents in employment.  Please see posters in church for more details.
