FOODBANK UPDATE Last week was a steady session with 135kg
coming in and 217kg going out (20kg from St Paul’s). Robert was concerned that more clients have
sanctions. That is, their benefits have been cut because they were not able to
sign on when they should. This even happens
when there has been a good reason, such as when a person is ill or is in
hospital, and the office has been phoned by nurses to explain the absence. However, Robert was pleased that former
clients have begun working as volunteers at Foodbank including the woman with
agoraphobia mentioned last week.

Church, Lowedges Road. They also have a good supply of non-uniform coats and
tops for ages 4 to adult. Free to those
on benefits (please bring proof.)
