FOODBANK UPDATE  Robert had a busier week with 20 vouchers through.  Food in 350 kg (20 kg St Paul’s) and 335 kg out.  He was able to chat again with the lad who had been so positive last week.  A client had some time in the prayer room and would like to try going to church.  A really positive week!
Due to our incredible success and overwhelming food donations the Gleadless Valley Foodbank is now in a position to consider opening a further day within the week for clients. To spread the sessions within the week the decision has been taken to open a new foodbank client session on a Tuesday each week. To make this viable we are looking for in total 10-12 volunteers to run the session within one of the following roles:
  • Front Office
    • Team Leader Role to organise the volunteers and take charge of the running of the session
    • Serving Refreshments
    • Greeting clients and taking food orders

  • Back Office
    • Pick the food orders

Please let Robert know if you’re interested. Thank you

Mike’s Ministry this week:

Wed 4th – Carfield Primary
Thurs 5th – Emmanuel Junior

From Murray
The Ash Wednesday service at St Peter’s Greenhill was great.  It was really encouraging to see so many people present with good numbers from each of our Mission Partnership Churches.  For me it was also great to be leading worship alongside these colleagues
