Easter Eggs for the Roundabout Hostel for homeless young people.
Just to say that we have begun to collecting Easters Eggs for Roundabout again this year.  If we can all get medium sized eggs that will ensure that they all get the same sized eggs!

Murray – is so relieved to have the heating working again. Thank you to the donor for your assistance.

FAMILY SERVICE IN MARCH  will be on March 15th, Mothering Sunday, and after the service there will be a Cake & Craft Stall.  Cakes & buns would be very welcome please – either home-made or shop bought are fine.
All proceeds to go towards the Windows Repair Fund.

CUPBOARDS IN CHURCH  Owing to pressure for cupboard space all around church, we ask that people remove/take home any equipment that you or your group doesn’t currently use please. (If you’re not sure about items that have been put in your usual storage area, please ask before disposing of them, as they may belong to another of our groups.) Hopefully, by reducing the amount we are storing, it will also help us to make decisions about which items we should get PAT tested in the summer. The unclaimed contents of the lost property basket will shortly be recycled, so may we remind you to check that too?  Thank you

CRAFT CUPBOARD – UPPER HALL  Jacqui would like to organise an evening for sorting out the Craft Cupboard and is suggesting we make an occasion of it and bring wine and nibbles on Thursday evening 12th March. Your help would be very much appreciated. If you can spare some time, please see Jacqui. Thank you

CORRECTION - MESSY CHURCH AT EASTER for families with children will next be held on Good Friday, 3rd April.  Instead of our usual light lunch, we will be having hot cross buns and finishing a little earlier at 12 noon.  Leaders/helpers  to arrive for 9.30 am, families for 10.30 am please.
An Hour at The Cross will be held at 2.00 pm.

PEEKABOO AT ST PAUL’S We thought you may like to know that last week we were told of some very positive and welcome reviews that someone had seen. People have posted comments on Netmums, Facebook and the NCT websites, such as a ‘lovely, vibrant group’, ‘best in the area’ and also comments about the way that the Nave furniture is organised to accommodate newborns and their parents, which people feel is much safer than other groups they’ve attended. There was also praise for church members who make the refreshments. Thank you all!

HOME START SPRING CHOIR CHARITY CONCERT: ST JOHN'S CHURCH, RANMOOR  on 21st  March 3.30pm. Adults £5, children £1.  Home-Start Sheffield began working with families in 1982. Now, every year, Home-Start Sheffield supports over 800 vulnerable children and parents. The charity’s Schools Spring Choir Concert will be held at St John's Church this year and will raise funds for Home-Start Sheffield. There will be 5 schools taking part as well as contributions from the Church Youth choir and from local soloist Nick Plummer-Walsh. For more details please contact Ian Roberts at music@stjohnsranmoor.org.uk.
(Home Start staff run the Sunny Days Group that meets here at St Paul’s on Mondays.)

FOODBANK UPDATE  Another busy week with 21 vouchers processed and around 40 people fed.  20 kg from St Paul’s. Robert was encouraged to hear about the work of Heeley City Farm from one client, but another client was trying to provide for herself and two children on £14 a week.  Things are made worse for her because of bedroom tax and benefits delays.

Gleadless Valley Food Bank is now considering  opening a further day for clients on Tuesdays. To do this we need 10-12 volunteers to run the session in one of the following roles:
·          Front Office
o Team Leader Role to organise the volunteers and take charge of the running of the session
o Serving Refreshments
o Greeting clients and taking food orders
·          Back Office
o Pick the food orders
Please let Robert know if you’re interested. Thank you
