From Murray

Silent retreats may not be for everyone but I find them really important!  In the silence, last week, I was able to let down my defences and meet with God more deeply than I have in ages.  I was very impressed with the person who led the retreat, we had half an hour with him each day talking over the things that had been coming up for us as we prayed.  He then suggested bible passages we might meditate on and pray with.  For me there were times of real struggle as I faced up to things  like my health problems in the last few years, but also times of great encouragement and renewal of my call to ministry.
