CHRISTIAN AID 2013 The total raised so far for Christian Aid is £1,422.47. This includes door to door collections, Quizaid at the Cross Scythes with Mount View church, the May Day Trek, and sales here on the Sunday from the Cake Bake. Many thanks to everyone who took part, and to all those who gave too.

VINE TIME Just to say a bit more about what happens at these services!  Our aim is to share together as God’s Holy Spirit leads, so there is quiet time for prayer and contemplation as well as songs, bible readings and also time to share encouragements and concerns.  It’s great, come along and try it!

PAT TESTING  Please bring any electronic equipment you might use in church that runs from the mains so that it can be tested on Thursday.  This is a requirement for all groups who use the building.

PLANT SALES Ken’s tomato, courgette and runner bean plants raised £40.08 towards the Fabric Fund & especially the window repairs. Many thanks Ken.

1st WEDNESDAY GROUP The group will now be having a meal out in August to avoid clashing with M.U.’s meal in July. Please see Jacqui for details.

M.U. MEMBERS The Mary Sumner Day service will be held at Doncaster Minster on Friday 9th August at 2pm.

FLOWER ARRANGING DEMONSTRATION To raise some much needed funds for church flowers, Liz Edwards has kindly offered to do a demonstration of flower arranging. It will probably be on Mon 22nd July.

ST LUKE’S Please see the poster at the foot of the stairs from St Luke’s Sheffield Hospice. They would like to recruit more volunteers to help raise much needed funds. Thank you

RATTLE & ROLL – Musical fun classes for children 0-4 years with Anne Connolly. Please tell your family and friends about these sessions which are fun, energetic and full of music and dance. (The children especially like the bubble and parachute sessions.) You’ll find them in the OV at 11.00 am on Tuesdays during term time. New members very welcome - leaflets in church.

SENIOR CITIZENS SERVICE - TO ALL AT ST PAUL ’S
Thank you so much for your donation of $100 which has been deposited in the SCS UK account.  We are most grateful for your continued support. Without your help it would be impossible to continue supplying essential medication, nurse and doctor care to our older destitute citizens.  I can assure you that all expenditure and medicines are closely monitored by me and all donations are used to their maximum effect.
Thank you and God bless you all for your support.
Dave  SCS administrator

SAINSBURY’S VOUCHERS Please bring any Active Kids vouchers as soon as you can and put them in the box under the MP notice board, so that we can catch the deadline for redeeming them. Thank you everyone on behalf of Beavers, Cubs & Scouts.

From Murray
What a wonderful week!  Having had quite a few wet holidays in recent years it was quite a shock to have sunshine every day last week.  We had lovely days out at Flamborough Head and on the NYM railway as well as returning to our usual haunts around Helmsley.
