‘MIDSUMMER MAGIC’ FLORAL DEMONSTRATION Tickets priced £5.00 are now on sale for a floral demonstration by Liz Edwards on Monday 22nd July at 7.30 pm, to be held in church.  Liz is a very talented floral artist with some great ideas for making a few flowers look stunning. There will be refreshments on sale; all proceeds towards St Paul’s Flower Fund. Please phone 07913283218 for ticket enquiries.

FOODBANK Volunteers are once again needed for the next collection at Tesco on Abbeydale Drive on Fri 5th July from 10.00 am to 12 noon. Murray has let them know that it will be more difficult as people will be at work. Please let Robert know if you can help. Thanks

CHANGES IN ZIMBABWE  We currently support three organisations: Senior Citizens Service (run by Dave) who provide a clinic for poor, retired, mainly white Zimbabweans.  Good Hope Orphan Care, supporting Aids orphans.  And finally Food for Homes Bulawayo, who provide food for people in care homes who would find it hard otherwise to provide food for residents.

The last of these (Food for Homes) is closing down.  This is for two reasons, first there is now more food available for people to buy and second the organisers have other commitments which they need to attend to.

I have talked this over with Dave and with the support of the PCC have decided that we continue to support the two projects Senior Citizens Service and Good Hope Orphan Care with funds divided equally between them, rather than the three way split at present.

We will have having a Zimbabwe focus in our service on Sunday 14th July at 10 am.

HOLIDAYS  Please let the office know in writing of any holidays planned, where you will not be available for the next church duty rota. Thank you

GREETINGS CARDS There are new cards for sale on the bookcase in the Meeting Place priced 50p, 75p or £1.00. All money raised goes to the church Fabric Fund. (Card sales raise about £50.00 per year.)  Please pay Jacqui or leave money in the basket provided. Also on the bookshelf are some interesting & thought provoking DVD’s.  Please borrow, view, then return for others to enjoy. Thank you

RATTLE & ROLL Musical fun classes for children 0-4 years with Anne Connolly. Please tell your family and friends about these sessions in the OV at 11.00 am on Tuesdays during term time. New members very welcome !

LAST REMINDER! SAINSBURY’S VOUCHERS   Please bring any Active Kids vouchers you wish to donate and put them in the box in the MP, so that we can catch the deadline. Thank you everyone on behalf of Beavers, Cubs & Scouts.
COMMUNITY NEWS

PEEKABOO AT ST PAUL’S After a number of years as the group leader, Tina Sheedy has now stepped down. The new leaders are Helen Speed, Gemma Jackson and Clare Waldren (contact details in “What’s On.”)  Our grateful thanks go to Tina for her time spent at St Paul’s setting up each week and collecting subs, and organising things from photographs to the Christmas Party etc. etc.  Please have a word with the new leaders if you would like to help with toy washing and replacing batteries on 28th August. As before, Liz Whitwam is the contact if you would like to join the Peekaboo refreshment makers list.  Thank you

From Murray
Thank you for your encouragement after my sermons last Sunday.  It was not easy to break the bad news of such a large projected deficit for the end of this year and I felt my faith really encouraged by your responses.  I really do appreciate your support!
