To The Congregation at St Paul’s from the Senior Citizens Service
Thank you so much for your donation of £205 which has been paid into the SCS Lloyds account.  It will go towards paying our May medicines account at Plus2 pharmacy where we obtain all our medication. Without your support it would be impossible to continue supplying essential medication, nurse and doctor care to our older destitute citizens. I can assure you that all expenditure and medicines are closely monitored by me and all donations are used to their maximum effect.
Thank you and God bless you all for your support.   Dave Gill - SCS administrator

CHRISTIAN AID 2013 The total raised so far for Christian Aid is £1,422.47. This includes door to door collections, Quizaid at the Cross Scythes along with Mount View church, the May Day Trek, and sales here on the Sunday from the Cake Bake. Many thanks to everyone who took part, and to all those who gave too.

PLANT SALES Last month’s sale of Ken’s tomato, courgette and runner bean plants raised £40.08 towards the Fabric Fund & especially the window repairs. Many thanks Ken.

1st WEDNESDAY GROUP The group will now be having a meal out in August to avoid clashing with M.U.’s meal in July. Please see Jacqui for details.

M.U. MEMBERS - DATE FOR YOUR DIARY The Mary Sumner Day service will be held at Doncaster Minster on Friday 9th August.

ST LUKE’S Please see the poster at the foot of the stairs from St Luke’s Sheffield Hospice. They would like to recruit more volunteers to help raise much needed funds. Each year, St Luke’s provides specialist care entirely free of charge to around 1,500 local adults with a wide variety of incurable illnesses. Their aim is to improve the quality of life at a time when life is especially precious. Thank you

Prayer Focus:

Dave Gill, all their family& many friends, following Sheila’s death after a long battle with her illness. Sheila was a key member of St Paul’s before their move back to Zimbabwe.  In case you missed last week’s announcement in the Sheffield ‘Star’, a special Celebration of the Life of Sheila Gill will be held here at St Paul’s at 1.30 pm on Saturday 29th June, running parallel with the service in Zimbabwe, which starts at 2.30 pm their time.

From Murray
Before the news of Sheila’s death I had been in touch with Dave as one of the organisations we have been funding has had to stop their work.  Food for Homes Bulawayo made sure that Care homes for the elderly had enough food to feed their residents.  Recently food has become more readily available and the organisers have other urgent commitments.  I have agreed with the PCC that our contributions to Zimbabwe will in future be divided between Good Hope Orphan care and Dave’s Senior Citizen Service
