We have cancelled The Speaker for Support Dogs owing to members being

interest relating to the last two wars to talk about or listen to? If
not please bring favourite readings. I am hoping to be at the meeting but Jacqui

From Murray I have been meaning to give you a couple dates
for your diaries. First I have booked
another Prayer Day at Longshaw for Saturday 13th September. Second I have booked a retreat centre near
Whitby for Monday 6th October to Wednesday 8th for us. Food and accommodation will cost in the
region of £120 and we can share transport costs. I will lead the retreat with a couple of
sessions each day but also time to appreciate the wonderful countryside around
the centre and up on the coast. Let me
know if you are interested!
MARGARET Many thanks for all
your support and prayers over the last four weeks without which I couldn't have
coped as well as I have. Love Margaret
VOUCHERS

of their new baby daughter, Hannah Louise, who was born last Saturday 31st
May at 4.42 pm. Best wishes from all at St Paul’s.

time. We'll be there from 10.00 am and want to get things spruced up
again. If you've noticed a particular job waiting to be done, please
bring relevant tools if you're able. Thanks
NORTON LEES LANE RESURFACING UPDATE It looks like the road may be closed between 7am to 7 pm during the
weeks of 2nd and 9th June, though the schedule may slip
so any time in June could be tricky for meetings!
TEDDY BEARS PICNIC Please save the date in your
diary! An event for families with young children on 20th June at 4.00 pm. Any profits will go to an M.U. supported
charity. Please see Liz Warren or Jacqui if you’d like to know more.
THANKSGIVING If anyone would like to join our Thanksgiving
Scheme please speak to Peter for envelopes or a form for a standing order.
W.I. OUTING On
Wednesday 6th August, Norton Lees (St Paul’s) Women’s Institute is
planning a trip which includes a two hour cruise on the Leeds/Liverpool Canal
with lunch served on the boat. There will also be a stop on the way home for
afternoon tea. There are still a few spaces left so why not come with a friend
for a lovely day out? The price is £27.00 and includes coach fare, the canal
trip and lunch but not afternoon tea –
telephone Sylvia Sanderson on 0114 2582194 if you’d like to know more or to
book a place. The coach will be leaving St Paul’s at 9.30 am and will arrive
back in Sheffield about 6.00 pm. N.B.
As the W.I. still has spaces on this trip, we are now opening the event to
husbands, partners and any men friends if you know of someone who would be
interested, please let Sylvia know!
