From Murray  I have been meaning to give you a couple dates for your diaries.  First I have booked another Prayer Day at Longshaw for Saturday 13th September.  Second I have booked a retreat centre near Whitby for Monday 6th October to Wednesday 8th for us.  Food and accommodation will cost in the region of £120 and we can share transport costs.  I will lead the retreat with a couple of sessions each day but also time to appreciate the wonderful countryside around the centre and up on the coast.  Let me know if you are interested!

MARGARET   Many thanks for all your support and prayers over the last four weeks without which I couldn't have coped as well as I have. Love Margaret

VOUCHERS FOR OUR UNIFORMED ORGANISATIONS We’d like to encourage people to bring in any Sainsbury Active Kids vouchers in as soon as possible please. In previous years we have had some wonderful equipment for Beavers & Cubs so please check your shopping bags for vouchers!

NORTON LEES LANE RESURFACING UPDATE It looks like the road may be closed between 7am to 7 pm during the weeks of 2nd and 9th June, though the schedule may slip so any time in June could be tricky for meetings!

TEDDY BEARS PICNIC   Please save the date in your diary! An event for families with young children on 20th June at  4.00 pm. Any profits will go to an M.U. supported charity. Please see Liz Warren or Jacqui if you’d like to know more.

W.I. OUTING On Wednesday 6th August, Norton Lees (St Paul’s) Women’s Institute is planning a trip which includes a two hour cruise on the Leeds/Liverpool Canal with lunch served on the boat. There will also be a stop on the way home for afternoon tea. There are still a few spaces left so why not come with a friend for a lovely day out? The price is £27.00 and includes coach fare, the canal trip and lunch but not afternoon tea  – telephone Sylvia Sanderson on 0114 2582194 if you’d like to know more or to book a place. The coach will be leaving St Paul’s at 9.30 am and will arrive back in Sheffield about 6.00 pm. N.B. As the W.I. still has spaces on this trip, we are now opening the event to husbands, partners and any men friends if you know of someone who would be interested, please let Sylvia know!
